吴晓薇的摄影作品充满神秘感与想象力。她独特而不拘一格的当代风格，以出人意料的视角常常令观者惊艳与沉思。出生并生活于新加坡，吴晓薇的摄影热情主要集中于抽象街头摄影。她以另类视角审视都市风景，将日常转化为非凡，通过镜头探索街道中潜藏的美感，捕捉层次、线条、空间、倒影、阴影与剪影之间的微妙细节。
吴晓薇将她的摄影作品视为潜意识的内省映照。街头摄影为她提供了一个表达都市复杂情绪的空间——激情、孤独、恐惧、紧张与矛盾。这些未曾言说的超现实情绪，往往作为隐秘元素潜藏于她的影像诗中悄然浮现。
她是唯一入选《Women Street Photographers》一书的新加坡摄影师。该书由Gulnara Samoilova策划，于2021年3月由Prestel Publishing出版，汇集了全球100位当代女性街头摄影师的作品，具有开创意义。
她的个展《潜意识》分别在东京和新加坡成功举办，其系列作品亦曾在徕卡新加坡、徕卡马来西亚及德国展出。吴晓薇的作品已在全球多个城市展出，包括纽约、加州、意大利、苏格兰、澳大利亚、墨西哥和印度。
她所有的照片均拍摄于未经摆拍和布景的街头场景，以单次曝光完成，仅进行最少或完全不做后期编辑。
Betty Goh’s photography is infused with a sense of mystery and imagination. Her original and unconventional contemporary style often surprises and captivates her audience with its unexpected perspectives.Born and based in Singapore, Betty’s primary passion is abstract street photography. She views the urban landscape through alternative perspectives, transforming the ordinary into extraordinary. Her work explores the beauty of everyday streets, capturing the intricate details of layers, lines, spaces, reflections, shadows, and silhouettes.
Betty describes her photographs as introspective reflections of her subconscious. Street photography has provided her with a space to express the complex emotions of urban life—passion, loneliness, fear, tension, and dilemmas. These unspoken, surreal emotions often emerge as hidden elements in her visual poetry.
Betty is the only Singaporean featured in Women Street Photographers, a groundbreaking book curated by Gulnara Samoilova and published by Prestel Publishing in March 2021. The book highlights 100 contemporary female street photographers from around the world.
Her solo exhibitions, Subconscious, in Tokyo and Singapore were both highly successful. Her photo series has also been displayed at Leica Singapore, Leica Malaysia, and in Germany. Betty’s work has been showcased globally, including in New York City, California, Italy, Scotland, Australia, Mexico, and India.
All of Betty’s photos are shot unposed and un-staged on the streets, within a single exposure, and with minimal or no post-editing.
