How can one visualize metamorphosis? Is it through observing landscapes evolving over hundreds of years? Or perhaps thousands? Is this an impossible task?
The natural landscape expresses its metamorphosis in countless ways—some visible, others imperceptible. The presence of human intervention provides a lens through which this phenomenon can be rapidly observed. Whether through humans dwarfed by the vast scale of the surrounding landscape or through man-made structures that stand in stark contrast to nature, human interaction becomes the mechanism by which we can visualize the transformation of natural wonders.

My name is Sunjyot (Sunny), and I am a photographer based in Perth, Western Australia. With a background in architectural and urban planning research, I have cultivated a deep appreciation for exploring the complexities of the urban condition.
In examining the urban condition, one cannot help but delve into the human condition. This exploration has inspired a profound interest in capturing landscapes interwoven with the human presence, blending the natural and constructed worlds.
To me, this fusion embodies the essence of ‘Metamorphosis’—a convergence where the wonder of nature meets the wonder of humanity, creating a visual dialogue between the two.
