福岛第一核电站的灾难是历史上最为严重的核事故之一。2020年,日本政府决定将废水倾入海洋,并由海洋稀释。鉴于全球可能面临的核污染威胁,我们提出为福岛第一核电站建立一座荧光纪念金字塔。这不仅是处理放射性废水的一种方式,更是一种生态与环境的警示,通过氚的放射性所激发的荧光,唤醒人们对核污染危害的反思。
Project Introduction:
Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster was one of the most severe nuclear accident in history. In 2020, the Japanese government has decided to pour wastewater into the ocean and let the ocean dilute it. Considering the potential nuclear pollution for the whole planet and people’s careless with the nuclear waste treatment, we propose a fluorescent memorial pyramid for Fukushima Daiichi plant. It not only disposals the radioactive water, preventing the wastewater from being pour into the ocean; but also works as an ecological and environmental warning, reminding people the tremendous hazard of the nuclear pollution with the fluorescence generated from the radioactivity of tritium.

Yiying Tang is a nationally acclaimed architectural designer and an extraordinary artist who is highly regarded in the field of architectural design. Currently, she is employed at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC (“KPF”), a globally renowned architecture firm headquartered in New York, NY, offering comprehensive architecture, interior, programming, and master planning services to clients in both the public and private sectors. She received her Master of Architecture Degree from the University of Michigan and her Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Zhejiang University. Yiying has garnered numerous awards in the field of architecture. Her exceptional abilities have been acknowledged by numerous industry experts and she has been featured in renowned international news publications. Yiying’s passion and proficiency in architecture revolve around exploring architectural regionalism and narrative, integrating architecture with its cultural context, and utilizing Artificial Intelligence in the architectural realm. She demonstrates exceptional skill in architectural design across a wide spectrum with substantial expertise in designing cultural, commercial, office, and residential buildings.
